Smith and Kennedy Architects

BACKGROUND

Smith & Kennedy Architects

The original firm, Edward N. Smith and Partners, was formed in 1964 by the late Eddie Smith and over the next 20 years developed a reputation as one of the leading Architectural firms in the Educational and Religious sectors.

On Eddie’s retirement in 1987, Joe Kennedy took over the running of the firm, renaming it and quickly diversifying into other project types.

The firm has gone from strength to strength since then and is now recognised for its quality in contemporary design and standard of professional service.

The main office is in Dun Laoghaire, South Co. Dublin, Ireland. The firm has associations through FORM with several international practices and has recently established itself through KOMPAS in Bahrain. Smith & Kennedy architects have successfully completed a number of projects abroad.
